More than a horseback ride.
At Tierra de Hidalgos we want our visitors to live, at least for one day, like a Mexican in the countryside: tour its lands, enjoy pulque and magueyes, and share a traditional Mexican family meal while experiencing an authentic family gathering.
We seek to share with our visitors not only a horseback ride. We are a traditional Mexican family, proud of our country and our way of living. We grew up surrounded by the Mexican countryside, enjoying nature, spending time with our horses, trying the local cuisine and respecting the rhythms of rural life.
Our base is Hacienda Santo Tomás in Zempoala, Hidalgo, built at the end of the 18th century. It still keeps some of its original furniture, like the round lazy-susan table where the meal is served.
